Morning departure by ferry to Gabes with a 30-minute stopover, then on to Kebili via El Hama. We then head for Tozeur, crossing the Chott El Djérid, an immense salt lake, with a stopover of around 30 minutes. Lunch will be taken at the Hotel El Hafsi 3* in Tozeur or a similar establishment.

Continuing on to the mountain oases for an excursion lasting around 3h30, with a visit to Chebika, a Berber village clinging to the mountain, Tamerza, a village suspended on the side of a gigantic canyon, and Midès, where oases and canyons rub shoulders, giving a feeling of freshness and well-being.

We then return to Tozeur, a half-Saharan, half-Andalusian town, and check into the 3* Hotel El Hafsi or a similar establishment. After dinner, we’ll enjoy an evening stroll through the old town, with an approximately 1-hour visit to the Chakwak Museum. We return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, we set off for Douz, the méharée capital. As an option, we can take a camel ride (optional and payable on site: 25DT/pax) to admire the immense sand dunes. Lunch at the Sun Palm Hotel.

We continue our journey to Matmata, a lunar landscape with a magnificent view of the Berber village of Tamazret. In Matmata, we’ll visit the troglodyte houses, stopping for around 30 minutes. We’ll then take the road to Médenine, passing through the splendid landscape of the Toujene region, a Berber village, and continue our journey to Djerba along the Roman road.
